Some are produced in accordance with WRAP Protocols. They include crushed hardcore, crushed concrete, crushed tarmac and tarmac planings.

Primary Natural Aggregates

Sub-base, shingle, sand and ballast, etc. are all available from local pits, quarries and wharves. They are supplied by recognised producers and meet relevant Highways, Water Industry and British Standards Specifications.

Sandy, loamy blended soils are available with certificated chemical analyses and gradings. Budget screened soils can be provided and although they are sometimes suitable for planting, we recommend their use generally confined to a turfing base. More about Topsoil…
